Video: Securing a Sponsor
Licence

On 31 December 2020 at 11pm, Freedom of Movement between the UK and the EU will end, and a new Points-Based Immigration System will apply to all migrants entering the UK.

This means that from January, any UK business wishing to hire workers from outside the resident labour market will need to hold a Sponsor Licence. A Sponsor Licence is a permission given by the Home Office to an organisation to sponsor migrant workers within its business.

To assist those businesses applying for a Sponsor Licence for the first time, Smith Stone Walters has created a new video which provides a helpful guide to the application process. In this video guide, we look at the eligibility requirements, how to file the online application, which documents you will need and what happens after you have submitted your application.
