Founded by three former employees of the Home Office Immigration Service, Gary Smith, David Hugkulstone, and James Walters, our company has evolved into a leading provider of immigration solutions, serving hundreds of clients worldwide.

Smarter Immigration Manager (SIM) is SSW’s one-stop shop for immigration management. Our unique case management system provides our clients and partners with on-demand access to a secure online portal exclusively designed to make it simpler and more efficient to run immigration programmes of any scale. 

With SIM, we ensure that sensitive data is protected while ensuring authorised access to the right people at the right time, allowing us to maintain the highest standards of data protection and service delivery.

We actively encourage our staff to support local initiatives in three key areas:

• Fundraising: Our fundraising efforts are driven by our team, who engage in a wide range of individual and group activities. We operate a gift-matching scheme to maximise contributions. Since 2013, we have proudly supported the Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity, a leading organisation providing emotional and practical support to families with children facing life-threatening or terminal illnesses. We encourage staff participation through various activities such as fun runs, team events, and personal challenges.
• Volunteering: Every year, our employees are given a full paid workday to volunteer for charitable causes. This allows us to contribute our time and energy to meaningful initiatives, with many employees dedicating their time to the Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity or their chosen charity. Volunteering not only supports our chosen charity but also helps strengthen team relationships and build connections across the organisation.
• Environmental Responsibility: As part of our CSR commitment, we take active steps to promote sustainable practices and reduce our environmental impact. We’re proud to partner with Ecologi, which allows us to plant five trees for every visa instruction we receive. This not only helps to offset our own carbon emissions but also supports vital climate projects worldwide. To date, we’ve planted over 55,000 trees, reduced our carbon footprint by 110 tonnes, and funded 19 environmental projects. 

We’re also committed to transparency and accountability, having achieved the prestigious Planet Mark Business Certification. By regularly reporting our carbon footprint and engaging with our stakeholders, we’re working towards reducing our emissions year-on-year to combat climate change. 

In addition, we’ve implemented a paperless file management system, eliminating the need for physical documents and minimising our waste output. Our commitment to sustainability is unwavering, and we’re dedicated to continuous improvement to ensure a greener future for all.
