UKVI extends email services for settlement applicants
Extension of email update service
UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) is extending its customer update initiative whereby Permanent Migration (European, Settlement and Nationality) customers receive status updates about their application via email. The initiative will commence on 8 December 2014 and will continue for up to six months, subject to internal evaluations.
Head of the Permanent Migration department, Steve Long, states that this initiative is the result of customer feedback which indicated communication regarding how their case is progressing would be very welcome.
Current processing times for visa applications are made available at www.gov.uk and range from a period of three weeks to six months depending upon the type of application.
