UK visa services in Egypt suspended
UK Visa services at the British Embassy and British Visa Application Centres in Egypt have been suspended until further notice. Work is being done to restore full service as soon as possible but, in the meantime, applicants with urgent cases are advised to submit their applications via application centres in Jordan or the United Arab Emirates.
The Visa Application Centres in Cairo and Alexandria will only remain open for enquiries and for the return of passports where the applicant has received notification that the passport is ready and available for collection.
Applicants whose applications have already been submitted should be aware that the return of their passports may be temporarily delayed. If you are in urgent need of your passport then please contact the application centre or UKVI.
Visa applications for visit visas can be made in any other country at a Visa Application Centre.
