New Immigration & Nationality Fees from April 2014
Whilst the Minister confirmed that the Home Office has sought to limit most increases to 4%, there have been increases to bring dependant fees in line with main application fees and for those customers seeking to register for British citizenship.
As expected, the announcement also included details of plans to offer a choice of optional premium services to those customers willing to purchase an expedited service. The options available will include:
- a £100 priority visa service (3-5 days)
- a £300 priority settlement visa service (3-5 days)
- a £600 super priority visa service (24 hours)
Subject to parliamentary approval the government intends to bring the new fees into force from 6 April 2014 with some fees for premium services overseas coming into effect on 31 March 2014.
