New 24-hour visa service launched in Paris
UK Visas and Immigration will launch a new Super Priority Visa Service in Paris on 26 February 2015.
The Super Priority Visa Service is a same day visa service which allows eligible customers to apply for a visa at the UK Visa Application Centre in Paris and have the application processed within 24 hours.
Until now, such a quick service has only been available in India and China. Extending the Super Priority Visa Service to Paris comes as part of the government’s plan to secure the UK’s long-term economic recovery by attracting more visitors to the UK, along with encouraging the support of British businesses.
The service will cost £600 (payable in euros) in addition to the UKVI fees and will be available to customers applying under one of the following immigration categories:
- Tourist and short stay
- Points Based System Tier 2 and Tier 5 (for applicants with the authority to reside in France)
- Point Based System Tier 5 (Youth Mobility Scheme)
- Points Based System Tier 5 (Temporary worker – Creative and Sporting) if currently in France for a similar purpose to the activity proposed to be undertaken in the UK.
Customers must be applying at the UK Visa Application Centre in Paris to use this service and a Super Priority Visa Service appointment must be booked when making the visa application. Should all go well, customers will be able to collect their passports from 9am on the next working day.
