SSW baking for charity!

We passionately believe in giving back. This is why Smith Stone Walters is proud to be supporting Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity which provides practical and emotional support for the families of children with life-threatening illnesses.

The Big Hour Tea Time is one of the charity’s largest annual fundraising and awareness events and SSW staff took part in this fundraiser for the second year running. Aprons were donned and sleeves were rolled up to produce a dazzling array of sweet and savoury creations for our very own in-house bake-off, which was designed to be a competitive team event.  To keep the fun going, a “guess how many sweets are in the jar game” took place with the winner being announced a few days later!

From savoury cupcakes to a marble cake palace competing in various different categories towards a team prize, it was an event not to be missed! With 27 entries and no shortage of eager customers to eat them including local friends and family, the scrumptious choice of dainties was soon demolished, resulting in full tummies and the raising of valuable funds for the Rainbow Trust.
