UK immigration at Kent Vision Live 2017
SSW joined the ranks at this year’s Kent Vision Live 2017, the South East’s premier business event!
With over 3,000 business coming together and an array of inspirational speakers, the event was aimed at bringing businesses together to gather fresh ideas and practical advice.
Acclaimed business journalist and broadcaster Robert Peston opened proceedings with an insightful perspective on the UK’s business landscape in a local and global context, including of course, the likely impact of the imminent general election and Brexit on UK businesses.
Whilst the SSW team liaised with individuals on a broad range of UK immigration matters, SSW Director James Walters held a focussed session on the effects of Brexit and UK immigration law on employers.
The session explained the process of gaining government permission to employ non-EEA (European Economic Area) nationals, as well as exploring the steps that organisations can take now in order to best protect their EEA workforce ahead of future change.
