EEA Passport return services in England
A new European passport return service for EEA nationals has recently been launched for those applying for recognition as an EEA QP (qualifying person) or for confirmation of their right to PR (permanent residency) in the UK.
The new service will allow such applicants to retain and use their passport or relevant identity documents as desired whilst their application is being processed.
The government has issued a list of 32 local authorities which offer this service across England, making it easier for EEA nationals to begin the process of confirming their UK status.
There are also 14 London-based authorities which offer the new passport return service including Bexley, Greenwich, Kensington & Chelsea, Luton, Southwark and Tower Hamlets.
