To be eligible for an Australian Working Holiday visa, you must:

• Hold a passport from an eligible country or jurisdiction.
• Be 18 to 30 years old (or 35 years old for some countries).
• Apply online from outside Australia.
• Not be accompanied by dependent children.
• Apply on your own. You can’t include family members in your application.
• Not have previously entered Australia on a subclass 417 or 462 visa. If you have previously been in Australia on a subclass 417 visa, you will need to apply for a second Working Holiday visa.

The application fee for an Australian Working Holiday visa is currently AUD 650. Please note, government fees are subject to change with short notice.

You must apply for a Working Holiday visa online from outside Australia. As part of the application process, you will need to submit certain documents and show that you have enough money for your stay in Australia.

The average processing time for a Working Holiday visa is approximately 3-4 weeks. Please note, the actual processing time remains at the discretion of local authorities and may vary.

A Working Holiday visa is granted for a period of 12 months. During this time, you can do any kind of work and study for up to 4 months. You can also travel to and from Australia as many times as you like. If you wish to stay for longer, you can apply for a second and subsequently a third Working Holiday visa, each with a validity period of 12 months.

With an Australian Working Holiday visa, you can:

• Do short-term work in Australia to help pay for your holiday.
• Study for up to 4 months.
• Travel to and from Australia as many times as you want.
• Do 3 months of specified work to become eligible for a second Working Holiday visa.

A second Working Holiday visa allows individuals who currently hold, or who have held, a Working Holiday Visa, to have a second working holiday in Australia.

To apply, you must have previously entered Australia on a subclass 417 visa. If you are in Australia, you must hold a substantive visa or your last substantive visa must have expired less than 28 days ago. You must also have completed 3 months of specified subclass 417 work and meet the other eligibility requirements.
