Temporary closure of UK visa centres in china continues
In light of the current Coronavirus alert, UK Visa Application Centres (VACs) in China remain closed.
It is therefore not possible to file new UK visa applications in mainland China at the current time.
Where customers who have already filed an application in China and are awaiting an outcome, the Visa Application Centres (VAC) are trying to return passports via courier. It is not possible to collect passports directly from a VAC and return by courier will not be possible in certain locations.
If your passport is currently held in a VAC, but you have not previously arranged for it to be returned by courier, you are advised to contact VFS Global by emailing feedback.ukcn@vfshelpline.com directly to discuss available options.
The Home Office is continuing to monitor the situation and has confirmed it will provide updates on when the VACs will re-open on this website page.
