SSW becomes Planet Mark
Business Certified organisation

Smith Stone Walters is delighted to share that we have become a Planet Mark Business Certified organisation, after measuring our carbon footprint from 1 April 2022 to 31 March 2023.

The Planet Mark Business Certification is an internationally recognised sustainability certification for all organisations acknowledging continuous progress, encouraging action and building an empowered community of like-minded individuals.

In this Decade of Action, we want to ensure that we are a force for good: positively transforming society and the planet by reducing any negative impact on the environment.

That’s why we are proud to be working with Planet Mark to reduce our carbon emissions and inspire others to join us on this journey towards a more sustainable future for our planet.

What is Planet Mark?

Planet Mark is a sustainability certification and net zero provider for organisations and the built environment. It helps businesses to measure their carbon footprint, become more strategic about their environmental responsibilities, and supports progress in the transition to a net zero world.

Achieving the Planet Mark certification highlights SSW’s steadfast commitment to making a positive impact on the planet and society through the reduction of carbon emissions year on year. In order to continue our certification, we have committed to reducing our carbon emissions by at least 2.5% each year.

As a part of our certification and in addition to our commitment to annual emission reductions, we are proud to be helping protect endangered rainforest through Planet Mark’s partner Cool Earth – a charity working alongside rainforest communities to halt deforestation. Our pledge through Cool Earth goes directly towards supporting the Asháninka community in Central Peru.

SSW is excited to be a part of this journey and we look forward to playing a vital role in improving the health of our planet for future generations. You can find out more about our certification here.
