This summer, processing times for UK visas have been hit by widespread delays and backlogs in the system, leaving many applicants waiting much longer than usual to receive their visa. It has been a challenging few months for the global mobility sector, with unprecedented demand for visas combined with the war on Ukraine and the remainder of COVID-19 backlogs all impacting processing times and travel plans.
Despite these challenges, the team at Smith Stone Walters has been working hard behind the scenes to support and reassure our clients throughout the visa application process and expedite their cases where possible. In many cases, our immigration consultants have managed to secure successful outcomes for clients earlier than expected, allowing families to get where they need to be on time.
As we enter the autumn, we are beginning to see a gradual return to normal processing times with faster decisions coming through for many applicants.
