31 UKVCAS biometric
centres close

The Home Office’s appointed commercial partner Sopra Steria has announced a number of its UK visa and citizenship application service centres (UKVCAS) will be closed because the libraries from which they operate have been shut by Local Authorities.

The notification confirms that any customers affected by the library closures will have their appointments rebooked at the same locations in six weeks’ time. In total, 31 of Sopra Steria’s biometric centres will be closed from tomorrow.

The company has confirmed it will be making the Home Office aware of those customers impacted in order for their records to be updated accordingly.

Smith Stone Walters strongly recommends all customers check whether a specific UKVCAS biometric centre remains open prior to attending.
