UK employers:
submit your views
on EEA migration

UK employers are being called upon to submit their views and evidence on EEA immigration.

The Migration Advisory Committee (MAC) has been commissioned by the government to investigate current trends in EEA immigration and their impact on the UK. The MAC has also been asked to compare these impacts to those of non-EEA migrants along with forecasting likely future immigration trends.

In order to fulfil its commission, the MAC is asking for responses from relevant parties to the questions laid out in its Call for Evidence.

The MAC would like to hear from all relevant parties such as UK businesses, employers, recruiters, trade unions, academics, think tanks, representative bodies and government departments on their views regarding EEA migration to the UK.

All responses should be evidence-based, providing supporting data and/or examples wherever possible. It is important to note, however, that the MAC will publish your response on its website and that any supporting evidence may also be made public.

Smith Stone Walters will be consulting the MAC on the needs and interests of its clients. Please send your response to us as soon as possible and we will ensure that it is submitted to the MAC on your behalf.

All evidence should be submitted to the MAC by 27 October 2017.
