Smith Stone Walters is delighted to invite you to join our next free webinar in partnership with Expat Management Group (EMG).

“Avoiding Common Business Visitor Compliance Pitfalls” will be taking place on Wednesday 16 October 2024 at 10:00 – 11:00 BST, online via Microsoft Teams.

This informative session will explore the dos and don’ts of business visitor compliance, including how to distinguish between business visits and work assignments in the UK and Europe.

This event is a must-attend for professionals in HR, Global Mobility, Recruitment and Talent Management, or anyone in your business who is involved in the cross-border passage of your employees.

Why attend?

By attending this free webinar, you will learn:

  • Who needs a visa: Understand how the rules may vary for different types of business tripper (for example: Visa vs Non-Visa nationals and Contractors vs Employees).
  • Business Visits vs Work: What counts as a ‘business trip’ and what counts as ‘work’ when it comes to visitors, and how does this definition vary between Country A and Country B.
  • Duration of Visits: Learn how the duration of a visit can impact compliance, and why the duration of a trip should not be considered in isolation.
  • Understanding the rules on payment: Identifying situations when a visitor can receive payment and what is allowed.
