SSW experts
speak on Brexit
& Immigration Rules

When it comes to UK Immigration we aim to keep our clients in the know. Our latest seminar did just that, with expert speakers focusing on the hottest topics within the industry.

Taking place in central London, the session discussed two key areas of UK immigration for UK employers: the newly-updated UK Immigration Rules and Brexit.

The UK Immigration Rules were changed on 6 April this year and many of the amendments will have a serious impact on the employers of non-EEA workers. Senior UK immigration adviser Anthony Hall discussed the most wide-reaching of these changes, including the introduction of the Immigration Skills charge, increased minimum salary requirements and the application of the Immigration Health Surcharge to Tier 2 Intra-company Transfer applicants.

The afternoon then turned its attention to Brexit and its potential effects on EEA employees. UK immigration adviser Alastair Mason discussed the UK immigration options currently available to EEA nationals and their families in the UK, along with outlining the steps which employers can take now in order to protect the UK status of their EEA workforce in the future.

Thank you to everyone who helped to make the afternoon such a success and we look forward to seeing you all at our next UK Immigration Seminar!
