Employee volunteering to
help The Rainbow Trust
Children’s Charity

As well as ongoing fundraising efforts throughout the year, SSW employees are also encouraged to take part in volunteering for one day each CSR year to help our chosen charity or a charity in their local community.  A group of four willing SSW volunteers recently spent a day at a Rainbow Trust temporary storage facility in Surrey, to help the charity in its efforts to sort, tag, photograph and log the contents of a large fancy dress shop in advance of a big eBay sale in October to raise much needed funds.  The Trust had received the fancy dress costumes and accessories as a generous gift from the shop owner who was retiring and our SSW volunteers were staggered at the sheer volume of stuff which needed to be sorted.  They all agreed that they never knew how many different types of hat were available for fancy dress purposes!  It was a busy and tiring day which culminated in a photo opportunity to showcase some of the outfits on offer!
