New UK Immigration
Fees from 6 April
2018

The Home Office has announced a number of changes to the immigration and nationality application fees. The new charges will apply to all applications made from 6 April 2018.

Although the cost of the overseas optional ‘Priority Visa’ service will increase by 15%, most of the visa application fees will rise by a more modest 4%.

The cost of a 3 year+ Tier 2 (General) and (Intra-Company Transfer) visa application made from overseas will therefore increase from £1174 to £1,220.

The Home Office charge for UK settlement applications continues to rise. The total fee levied on a family of four applying for permanent residence in the United Kingdom will increase to £9,556 from next month.

Employers are therefore advised to look ahead to their UK recruitment needs for the coming year and budget accordingly for any potential need to hire or retain staff from outside the EEA.
