Tier 2 & Tier 4 UK visa
submission change
within India

UK Visas & Immigration has announced a change to its visa submission process that will impact all customers submitting a PBS Tier 2 or a Tier 4 application (including dependants) within India.

From this month, applicants filing their Tier 2 & Tier 4 applications via any Visa Application Centre (VAC) in India are required to submit all original supporting documentation along with their passport.

The documents are no longer scanned at the VAC and returned to the applicant at the end of the appointment. Instead the documents are received along with the visa application and only returned with the passport following a decision by UK Visas and Immigration.

Whilst this change may be minor, it demonstrates that UK immigration processing procedures are constantly evolving. Applicants should therefore always gain up to date information and guidance prior to submitting their UK visa application.
